1. Agreement to these terms
These terms of use govern your use of lexledgersystems.com (the “site”), operated by LexLedger, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“LexLedger,” “we,” “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. About this site
The site gives general information about LexLedger and our products, and lets you apply to our design-partner program. Product descriptions reflect our current plans and may change. Use of the LexLedger platform or the CoThread app is governed by separate agreements, not by these terms.
3. No legal advice
LexLedger is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on the site is legal advice, and using the site or contacting us doesn't create an attorney-client relationship. Statements about evidence or court rules are general information. Whether any record is admitted as evidence is always for the court to decide.
4. Design-partner program
Applying to the design-partner program doesn't create any obligation for you or for us. Participation requires a separate written agreement between your firm and LexLedger. Please don't include client information or case details in your application.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site or to our systems, or interfere with how they work;
- scrape, copy or collect content from the site by automated means, except as permitted by standard search-engine indexing;
- submit false information, or information about other people that you're not authorized to share.
6. Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, logos and design, belong to LexLedger or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. LexLedger and CoThread names and logos are our trademarks. You may view and print pages for your own informational use. Any other use requires our written permission.
Other companies' product names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to identify those products.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about our products, we may use them without any obligation to you.
8. Third-party services and links
The site may embed or link to services we don't control, such as Microsoft Forms. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LexLedger won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LexLedger harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the site or your failure to follow these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept them.
